Milestone - a significant moment in the project(meeting a client, finish a storyboard

Deadline- whole product - submit the entire work to the client

several milestones - 

  • Producing a media product always has a deadline like any project. 
  • If not met, could lead to failure, financial loss.
  • Timescales work in reverse from the ultimate deadline, e.g. the release date of a movie.
  • Within this overall timescale, the project may also have time constraints linked to:
  • Location – film set/TV show
  • Studio - Recording
  • Equipment (borrowed/rented)
  • Staff like actors/writers (other commitments)
  • Catering/services (budget allows for limited time)
